The forthcoming spectacle of the opera "Die Walküre", with which the Sofia Opera and Ballet is a guest at the "May Opera Evenings", was presented at the event.

The director of the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje, Vaso Ristov, pointed out at the press conference that the visit of the Sofia Opera and Ballet had been arranged last year and announced that there was great audience interest in the spectacle.
"For this guest-performance Maestro Kartaloff and I started preparations last year, during the 51st edition of May Opera Nights, when he was my guest. We came up with the idea of Sofia Opera and Ballet participating in the 52nd May Opera Nights. Well, it happened. These days they are visiting us, and on Saturday we will have a great spectacle, which has had extraordinary interest from the audience, and I think the tickets are already running out," Ristov added.
"I would like to say that it is a great pleasure and honour for us to receive the guests from Sofia. To hear Wagner for the first time in North Macedonia is a privilege for all of us, especially for the audience, as there has never been a complete Wagner performance in the country before and this will be a spectacular edition for our May Opera Nights," said Orce Itskovski, Artistic Director of the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje.
