“The intensive work charges us. The artist is with a tender soul and one has to act very carefully. If you don’t sink into your profession and your senses are not open, there is no way for you to deal with art”. This shared in the broadcast “Horizon for you” Yulia Krasteva, one of the most successful stage directors of the Sofia Opera and Ballet.

When she was 5-years old, she started playing the violin, but at a later stage came the moment, in which she had to choose between the violin and the directing. The choice was not easy, the nostalgy for the violin is present up to this day.

“Music has always led me”.

According to Yulia Krasteva the audience is changing:

“It is looking for acting singers. To come the natural acting mastery. When art passes through human’s soul, it moves it”.

According to her words, one of the fights in life is to manage to keep a part of the purity in yourself.

What charges the stage director is the meeting with nature and always, when it is possible, she goes out for a walk in the wood.

The interview with Yulia Krasteva you can hear in the sound file.
