Dear audience,
In order to save you the inconvenience of standing in a queue of the Box office, the Sofia Opera and Ballet offers a possibility for online purchase of tickets at its official website www.operasofia.bg, as well as from the box offices of EasyPay in the whole country.
The offered for online sale tickets are at REGULAR price, not including the discounts for old persons, students, children, group visits and tickets for corporate clients.
Ways to pay:
- Electronic account in the system of ePay.bg;
- Debit/credit card Visa or MasterCard (if you pay with credit card the bank may have an additional fee, which is at your expense);
- Payment per bank transfer (possible up to 7 days before the spectacle).
The maximal number of seats which you could pay online is eight.
The purchased electronic tickets from the website of Sofia Opera and Ballet, as well as from the box offices of EasyPay cannot be rebooked and their value will not be restored!
Instructions for online purchase of tickets
1. Please choose the spectacle you wish to visit from the calendar of events at the Sofia Opera and Ballet.
Click the Buy tickets button against the name and the date of the spectacle, which you have chosen. If against the date of the spectacle there is no Buy tickets button, the sale has still not begun or it is already terminated.
2. Choose seats according to the interactive plan of the hall and click the Confirm button. The already sold or booked seats are shown in grey. Your choice is reduced to the seats, coloured according to the price category.
3. If you still don’t have user name and password at the site of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, it is necessary to make a registration with e-mail address and password. This would take you not more than 2 minutes.
4. Choose the desired form of payment.
- With ePay (if you have an electronic account in ePay);
- With debit/credit card Visa or MasterCard;
- With bank transfer.
5. Please read and acquaint yourself with the Terms and conditions for purchase of tickets. If you put a tick, it means that you accept them.
6. Check once again the data and click the Forwards to payment button.
Steps for the different forms of payment
1. Payment of the booked tickets through ePay
If you have chosen to pay your tickets with ePay, the payment must be performed up to 15 minutes after the booking. With this method of buying tickets you will receive in your e-mail a confirmation of the payment made.
After that within 15 minutes again in your e-mail you shall receive the electronic ticket with barcode, as well as instructions in case you wish to use a mobile application, suitable for your mobile phone.
If within 30 minutes you don’t receive a confirmation for the payment made and an electronic ticket as attached file, please check in the SPAM folder. In case you cannot find the tickets, please log in your profile at the site of the Opera and click Orders to download and print out your electronic tickets.
Please take into account that ePay.bg and EasyPay are different methods for purchase of tickets. ePay.bg is an electronic method, and EasyPay is a physical site (office). It is not possible to book your tickets at the site of the Opera with ePay and afterwards to pay them in the Box offices of EasyPay.
The access to the Opera happens with printed out electronic ticket with barcode, which will be scanned at the entrance. The barcode can be scanned also from your mobile device.
We recommend you to print out your electronic tickets in advance, if you don’t dispose of Internet on your phone.
2. The payment of the tickets through debit/credit card Visa or MasterCard is analogical to the payment through the system of ePay (see item 1)
3. Payment of the booked tickets through bank transfer
If you have chosen this form of payment of the tickets, the system will generate a number of the order and on the screen will appear information how to pay it. This information window includes:

Purpose of the payment: Here you should enter the number of your order, generated by the system.
With this payment method in the banker’s order you must enter the order number.
The amount must be received in the bank account of the Sofia Opera and Ballet not later than three days after the booking. Otherwise the seats will be released and the booking will be annulated, even if the payment was made.
This payment method is possible up to 7 seven days before the spectacle.
Please take into account that the eventual fees and commissions for the money transfer of the banks are to the account of the buyer. If the amount received in the account of the Sofia Opera and Ballet is smaller than the value of the tickets, they will be not placed at the byer’s disposal.
You can receive your tickets in the Box office of the Opera (Sofia, 1, Vrabcha Str.) at the earliest 72 hours after their payment and at latest 30 minutes before the beginning of the spectacle, by showing the payment confirmation with the number of your order.
In case you order a payment with Visa, MasterCard or ePay, but you don’t pay in the chosen way, the seats you have booked, will be released for a new sale automatically, after exparing of the set term of 15 minutes. These seats could be immediately purchased by another person. In such case, if you make a bank transfer, it is possible that you have paid for seats, which are already sold and that we won’t be able to place these tickets at your disposal!
